We hate your blog.

We hate our authors, Kasper Hauser’s Dad, Halstad Blanchard, Ashby Barett, & the Gosford of James.

Kasper Hauser’s Dad wants you to know that: This hurts us more than it hurts you.

The Gosford of James wants you to know that: He was raised by a pack of wild emus and has only recently been introduced to polite society. He doesn’t quite have the hang of it yet.

Ashby Barett wants you to know that: Jesus loves you, but he probably hates your blog as much as we do.

Halstad Blanchard wants you to know that: We’re doing all of this because our parents forced us to take private oboe lessons.

  1. I hate the Gosford of James. And he knows it.

  2. From the 1994 Supreme Court Case Campbell v. Acuff-Rose:

“[W]hen there is little or no risk of market substitution…taking parodic aim at an original is a less critical factor in the analysis, and looser forms of parody may be found to be fair use, as may satire with lesser justification for the borrowing than would otherwise be required.”

Thus, if there is little market competition between the satiric version and the original, satire has a much stronger claim to fair use.

We never asked for any money, nor intended to claim financial gain.
