We hate ShoeBlog

We hate ShoeBlog and we hate the post, Valentino Spring RTW 2010.

1. WE HATE all the pictures of feet. It makes us uncomfortable. Are the shoes supposed to make these feet attractive? Feet?

They'll swallow your pinkie toe.

2. WE HATE the ridiculous height of the heels. Is there a shoe out there that allows you to walk with your feet completely inverted? So you’d be, like, walking on the tops of your feet? Because that’s pretty much the only place left to go at this point.

Our mother always told us to never walk in coral with high heels. Didn't your mother ever tell you that?

3. WE HATE your discomfort with the human body. It’s not a fact that women look better in high heels, it’s an opinion. And anyway, we prefer our women in high toes, where the heel is in the front. Makes it extra hard for them to walk, run after us, storm out of a room in a hissy fit…

Sure, sure, high heels have the same basic effect, but high toes really drive home the point that women are deficient and in need of painful alteration in order to be attractive to desirable men.

High toes. Google it.

4. WE HATE your header. The graphic looks like a phamacutical ad. Maybe for fungus cream?

Shoeblog.com: now with more Fungisall. Fungisall: for all your fungus eradication needs.

5. WE HATE the revolving ads on your blog. Or maybe it’s not so much hate as it is bemusement and amusement. So far we’ve seen ads for White Castle and Walmart. Does Stanley Valentino shop at Walmart? I think not. Do Harold Dolce and Jerry Gabbana discuss their next shoe line over Sliders? Maybe. But probably not. What’s next, Payless?

Scoff!

  1. We also, by the way, hate that these heels aren’t high enough.

  2. We hate that, if you look closely at the coral high heel photo, there are restraint-indentations on the model’s leg. She is clearly being forced to wear these against her will!

  3. Oh my gosh, those are so gorgeous! They embody exactly what I see Valentino as. Simple, elegant and oh so beautiful. I haven’t seen the show yet, but I have a feeling the models were like fairies floating down the runway. We love you Valentino!

  4. We wouldn’t say simple. But sure, whatever floats your boat.
